What is MOMKN Studio?

An independent studio, not a freelance archive.

MOMKN Studio is where Arabic type design, typographic art direction and identity work happen under one name — separate from any client or employer. Every typeface, poster and brand shown across this site is either built by the studio itself or independently owned.

Direction

Bold, not busy.

Large type, generous space, and motion used with intent rather than decoration. The studio treats the Arabic letterform as the main subject — not an afterthought translated from a Latin layout.

Kareem Mrghani — Founder, MOMKN Studio

Kareem Mrghani

Kareem Mrghani is a Senior Art Director with over 13 years of experience in branding, advertising and visual communication — working across entertainment, government, sports, culture, events and commercial brands, including Riyadh Season, UNESCO Arab Week, Netflix activations and the Longines Global Champions Tour.

His work spans brand identities, campaigns and visual systems — every decision, from concept and typography to how it adapts across platforms, made with intent. MOMKN Studio is where that experience is distilled into an independent practice centered on Arabic type as a design language in its own right.
